My Go To Protein Smoothie

I am not a stranger when it comes to protein powder, there are a lot of things you can add it too. In fact there are donut recipes ( I will be trying this soon) or you can check out my tweaked granola bar recipe.

However, today I am highlighting my favorite go to protein smoothie / shake recipe. It’s easy, and you can get all the ingredients without any special trips to a fancy grocery store.

Ingredients:

  • Chocolate milk (you can use any version you like – soy, almond, whole, etc)
  • one banana
  • ice – about a cup
  • Everlast Vegan Protein Powder, one serving – or a powder of your choice
  • 2 spoons of Peanut butter – any variety, bonus points for chocolate nut butter. You can add as much/less as you like

I start by locating my blender, you could use a ninja or whichever device can chop up the ice.

I am not good with actual measurements, but I pour in 1 cup, or about, of chocolate milk. Then proceed with the other ingredients, no special order, just get them in the blender. My favorite part is licking the spoon after a dollop or 2 of peanut butter.

Then I push a variety of buttons until I have a smooth creamy liquid.

I do not have a name for this recipe, but it does taste like a chocolate shake. With the peanut butter and banana I could name it after Elvis.

I was given the vanilla Everlast Vegan powder to sample, I think the vanilla was trying to compete with the other flavors, but it was still good.
