“Disclaimer: I received the UV Full Buff to review as part of being a BibRave Pro. Learn more about becoming a BibRave Pro (ambassador), and check out BibRave.com to review find and write race reviews!”
I might have mentioned one of the perks to being a BibRave Pro is getting introduced to awesome products. I really enjoyed testing the UV Half Buff, and was excited to try out the Full size buff.
If you remember my takeaways from the UV Half Buff, that it was a seamless, tubular, stretchy piece of fabric. It’s great to use as a head band and to keep sweat at bay, however there isn’t much material, which makes it great for hot summer months.
The Full Buff is the exact same piece of tubular, seamless, stretchy fabric, but with at least twice the amount of fabric, plus all these great perks: (Check out Buffusa.com for more information.)
I received the Bright Hunter Orange, I was able to enjoy some runs with this, using it as a hair “tamer” and a head band. The bright color was also great for that hour just as the sun rises, you don’t need a light, but BAM! This color allows you to be seen. However, because there is so much fabric, it’s a little too much for me in the summer.
This doesn’t mean I don’t like it any less. In fact I had a lot of fun discovering lots of fun ways to wear this.
It is perfect for “talk like a pirate day”
Not into pirates? Well then how about a blindfold, especially when your team is ready to kick the game winning field goal with 2 seconds to go, and you just can’t watch…
Ok Not a sports fan? Well the Full Buff is great for storage, it will fit 12 donuts, that’s a dozen for all you aspiring chefs. Seriously though, you could put food in this for your long run, like fruit snacks.
Fine, you’re not a pirate, you don’t care for sports, and donuts are the last thing on your mind. Then grab a friend and have a “Buff Off” Who doesn’t like a photo shoot?
All kidding aside, make sure to check out this fun video of many others ways to wear this fun piece of fabric.
I do look forward to wearing this in the winter months. In the midwest, it gets cold, snowy, icy and windy. The Buff will be perfect for covering all parts of my skin. Nothing worse than the gap between your hat and turtle neck on your neck, just enough exposed skin to get a chill. The buff covers it without problem. Buff also makes a merino wool face mask style or balaclava, which would be great for the cold!
It also will be perfect for skiing and sledding. I am not an Olympian when it comes to these activities, so when I take a fall, or crash into a snow bank, I will not have snow sneak down my back. I get chills just thinking about it.
The Buff is a fun piece to add to your adventurous lifestyle. With many colors to choose from and a variety of ways to wear, you can’t go wrong. You can save 10% through 9/30/15 on any purchase with code BIBRAVE10.
