MinoTOR – Product Review

It’s been a while since I have written a product review, or share how excited I was to arrive home one evening to a box near my front door.

I ripped it open to discover 3 bottles of MinoTOR. I read the note that suggested MinoTOR is best served cold, so I stuck it in the fridge. Had some time to read about it.

Now what is MinoTOR you ask? It’s a beverage that has 4 features, very important to anyone active. Energy, Endurance, Strength, Recovery.

*I had to do some further research on sucralose, so I asked MinoTOR, and they said “MinoTOR is actually 98% water, and We do have 1/16 of 1% artificial sweetener to mask the extreme bitterness of the amino acids”

With all these features and benefits, I was ready to take my first taste. It’s also recommend to consume 15-30 minutes prior to activity.

It is very fresh and crisp, however it is really sweet. I drink black coffee, unsweetened ice tea, water & milk in my daily life, all very bland, bitter drinks. The elctrolyte drink I usually drink has salt as an ingredient. This sweetness was a shock. I compare it to having sugar or sweetener flavors in a coffee, it just is too much for me.

I did try it a few more times, I even stuck it in a snow bank to keep it cold.

Also brought it to the gym, as we had a super cold day. Even watered it down to see if the sweetness was a little less.

However I just don’t like the sweetness of this. It’s fine on my stomach and have no issues that way, and I do enjoy the freshness taste to it.

I reached out to MinoTOR, and started a conversation with them. Wow, talk about passion for a company. I told him that I really didn’t like the sweetness, he told me it’s very sweet as they amino acids are very bitter. Then he went on to talk about the “science” behind this drink. I was lost, but the general idea is that “the formula is based on synergistic effects of the ingredients and the body’s processess” You can find more about the science behind the product at this website http://drinkminotor.com/science/.

They went on to say that they weren’t happy with the products that were currently on the market, so they did something about it. He mentions that during their development stages the closest product on the market was baby formula. Then after 150 iterations of formula and flavor, and 2 years they came up with MinoTOR.
